A good blogger is like really a great editor who has selected things for you to view and think about. My favorite blogs run the gamut, but all go toward fueling interconnected ideas about lifestyle, work, home design, cooking and food.
On the 'improvised life's homepage, there's a drop down menu called "Blogs We Like", that has about 50 great blogs.
Kottke: Jason Kottke's miscellany of interesting things, much to do with innovative thinking.
Similarly: Neatorama
Remodelista: THE design blog, with especially great resources for kitchen design and products. Great for ideas. It has a section called Remodelista Design Newstand, featuring 100 of their favorite design blogs. Offerings change hourly, with thumbnail pictures so you can click easily.

The Selby: Photographs of the interiors and lifestyle of very creative REAL people. The pictures are not styled, very individual often eccentric.
Open Culture: Free cultural and educational resources and videos from movies to music to language lesions, to lectures by brilliant folks.
