Vivian Howard is an award-winning author, TV personality, chef, and restaurateur. She is a contributing columnist at Garden & Gun Magazine and is the author of two cookbooks: This Will Make it Taste Good and Deep Run Roots, a New York Times bestseller and IACP “Cookbook of the Year.” Vivian created and stars in the public television show Somewhere South, a deep dive into the complexity of Southern foodways, and the docu-series A Chef’s Life, for which she has won Peabody, Emmy, and James Beard Awards. A James Beard Award semifinalist for Best Chef Southeast, her restaurants include The Counter @ Chef & The Farmer and The Kitchen Bar @ Chef & The Farmer in Kinston, N.C.; Handy + Hot, a bakery and coffee shop in Charleston, S.C.; and Lenoir, a casual upscale restaurant in Charleston. Additionally, she operates Viv’s Fridge, a network of smart refrigerators offering prepared meals, snacks, and desserts across North Carolina.
Evan Kleiman
Evan Kleiman is a chef, cookbook author and former restaurateur. She has been the host of KCRW's Good Food since 1997 and has been called "the fairy Godmother of the LA food scene" for her central role in bringing a community of food people together through her radio show. As a natural extension of her longtime exposure to everything to do with food, Kleiman's interest now extends to issues of food policy and agro-ecology. She is an active speaker on issues of food culture and sustainability and just to maintain a balance, is also attempting to become the Queen of Pie. Kleiman is the author of eight books on Italian food and one video app, "Easy As Pie."
Yossy Arefi
Yossy Arefi is a Brooklyn based photographer and food stylist. She is the author of Snacking Cakes: Simple Treats for Anytime Cravings and Sweeter off the Vine: Fruit Desserts for Every Season. She also writes the award winning blog Apt. 2B Baking Co. which celebrates seasonal baking and preserving. She teaches food and photography workshops all over the world.
