Asma's Indian Kitchen Asma's Indian Kitchen by Asma Khan

It might be obvious to say that our lives will be shaped by our parents and own children. But when Francis Lam watched chef Asma Khan's episode on the show Chef's Table, he was literally crying at her stories of both her family and the family she's made among the all-woman kitchen in her London restaurant Darjeeling Express. So, he was honored when he got the chance to talk with her more about the pressure of being born female into Indian culture and the emotional lessons she learned from cooking with her mother. Listen to their interview and enjoy Asma's recipe for Keema Sua Pulao, spiced ground meat with dill rice -- one of her son’s favorite dishes -- from her book Asma's Indian Kitchen.
