Sazón is the go-to spice blend in many Latin American home kitchens. While it is available in the international aisle at most supermarkets, it is easy to assemble at home. In our blend, we use paprika to mimic the color of authentic ground annatto seeds. Garlic powder, ground coriander, ground cumin, and salt round out the flavors. We add paprika in place of annatto for color. In addition to flavoring our Arroz con Pollo, this blend makes a great seasoning for eggs, beans, and fish.
1 teaspoon garlic powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
Combine all ingredients in bowl. Store it in an airtight container for several months.
