Wine wizard Joshua Wesson of Best Cellars, says affordable white burgundy isn't necessarily an oxymoron. There are a few bargains to be had if you know where to look. Josh says there are three villages producing great values in the range of $10 to $20. Here are three of his favorites:
Domaine Roux Père et Fils from St. Aubin: Their Meursault-like wine can hold its own in blind tastings with other Meursaults.
Château de Rodet from the village of Rully: Producer Antonin Rodet makes whites and reds. Josh says the whites are "really wonderful."
Bouchard Père et Fils from Montagny: The fat, rich white wines made in this town could be stunt doubles for Meursault.
