  • Tri-Color Olives with Orange and Spice

Maybe it's taking things for granted, but Alexander the Great would have liked these olives. The seasonings are straight from his place and time - Greece at about 320 BC. Besides being classic finger food, these are a good foil for the cheese and tomatoes, coarse bread and cool wine. Since the olives keep about two weeks in a refrigerator and leftovers will be welcome, it is a generous recipe.

  • Slow Roasted Pork with Glazed Orange Slices

So forgiving, you can calibrate this roast around your needs instead of the usual other way around. It will hold happily in a low oven (180°F. or so) for an hour.

  • Fresh Basil-Orange Roast Turkey

    Ingredients

  • Green Beans with Fresh Thyme and Orange

Fresh and bright tasting these beans contrast with the deeper, richer tastes of the mushrooms and timbale.

  • Sangria and White Sangria

  • Roasted Pork Tenderloin with Black Olives and Orange

Serve the pork and green beans with a medium-bodied red wine, like a luscious Italian Ripasso di Valpolicella by Tommasi, Masi or St. Stefano, or a Chianti Classico. Make dynamite sandwiches by thin-slicing any leftover tenderloin.
