Pine Ridge Chenin Blanc-Viognier: Lynne likes this bargain-priced (under $10 at her wine shop) off-dry white that's a blend of fruity and flowery Chenin Blanc and ripe-tasting Viognier. Try it as an aperitif or with spicy Asian food.

Hogue Pinot Gris: When Lynne's husband opened a bottle of this white from Washington state to serve with some lovely smoked salmon one evening, she was surprised. It wasn't a wine she would have paired with fish. But the summer fruit flavors coupled with some spice proved to be a real treat with the salmon.
