Twenty-five kilometers south of Catania, Scipione and Maria Carla Borghese grow organic blood oranges on a magnificent estate that has been in the family since 1392. They sell typical Sicilain products such as olive oil, capers, olives, and sauces (Il Pomo D'oro S.a.s., Via Archimede 35, 00197 Rome, Itlay; green number in Europe: 1670-19230). From April through October visitors can dine at Il Biviere and tour the spectacular garden of succulents.
