The Sterns recently discovered Cornell Chicken, a regional specialty in Candor, near Ithaca, New York. Barbecued chicken with a vinegar-based marinade enriched with eggs was invented by a Cornell University professor.
Cornell Chicken defines summer in this part of the country. During the warm months, roadside grills are set up all over the area, but the Sterns say the best is Jim's B-B-Q in Candor. He sets up a grill and tables for 30 under a tent in his backyard! Country and Western music plays in the background.
