The Sterns claim one of the most endangered restaurants is the urban chili parlor. Happily one is still alive and thriving in Seattle's Ballard neighborhood. Mike's, home of the 'Big Ass Bowl of Chili,' is a funky place where the dÃ©cor is of the beer signs variety and macho guys congregate to eat big bowls of chili made with coarsely ground beef and topped with oyster crackers.
