Carrot-Peppermint Stomach Soother

This is the perfect potion to sip when experiencing winter flu. It nourishes and hydrates the body without disrupting digestion.

Ingredients

  • 4 carrots, sliced
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon dried peppermint, or 1 peppermint tea bag

Instructions

1. In a medium saucepan, combine all of the ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium-low, cover loosely, and simmer until the carrots are very tender, about 15 minutes. If you're using a tea bag, discard it now.

2. Blend or process the mixture until it is very smooth. Sip warm.

If the weather is damp: Stir in a pinch of ground ginger before blending.

If the weather is dry: Stir in a teaspoon of lemon juice before blending.
